As many shots as is required but not one more

While it's illegal to brandish or threaten someone with your gun to keep them away or scare them off, it isn't illegal to shoot someone who makes you feel like your life is under mortal threat to only fire for center mass, never to "wing" or injure, always to incapacitate or neutralize. Additionally, it's legal for the gun owner in his home or with a concealed carry permit out and about, to keep on shooting at someone who is threatening their life again and again until that attacker is on the ground and not moving, then stop. "As many shots as is required but not one more."
