Look at how women in Afghanistan are treated! Outrageous!
Yes, it's outrageous. Appalling. I'm also outraged that we actually thought we could change their radical and radicalized fundamentalist culture with drones, bombs, troops, and occupation. Let's invade and bomb Saudi now. I wonder how many of the 71k civilians who died during our war were girls and women? How did Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, etc, become women-friendly Westernized nations from the 1920s-1970s? And, how did they go from skirts and uncovered hair to fundamentalist Muslim countries? How do we get back there without the body count? Is our aggression against the Middle East exacerbating Islamic fundamentalism? Is Western imperialism a positive influence or is it perceived as the tip of the spear known as religious war, Christendom versus Islam?
