Shame and humiliation are only a short-game

This is an attempt at processing these feelings. Shame and humiliation are only a short-game. Shaming and humiliating people into complicity just drives people underground. You don't ever win hearts and minds with shame and humiliation, you just ensure that you'll end up living in a world where all of those things that you've driven out may appear to be gone but are actually thriving, unabated, on the DL, on the down-low.

The left, the Democrats, and the extremist radicals may see the success of their furious wars against white supremacy, against our "never my president" President, and against intolerance and bigotry; however, when the carpet bombings are complete and the B52s are ridden hard and put away wet, they'd really better check all the tunnels because America is the least likely country to ever be shamed into doing anything outside of temporary appeasement. I am sure the American Revolutionaries were the most passive-aggressive opposition force that the Red Coats ever had to deal with. Acting all Loyal and Obedient to the King by day and conspiring to overthrow the English in the pubs at night.

I don't think Americans give much more than just lip service to the right side of history. You can always count on Americans to do the right thing—after we've tried everything else.
