The good thing about panopticon citizen journalism and the ubiquitous filming of altercations is that the footage is proof of what happened so it's almost impossible to manipulate the truth or influence outcome with testimony; however, the terrible thing about panopticon citizen journalism and the ubiquitous filming of altercations is that the footage is proof of what happened so it's almost impossible to manipulate the truth or influence outcome with testimony. When things are political, the actual truth cuts both ways. It doesn't only redeem your heroes and damn your enemies but it redeems everyone's heroes and damns everyone's enemies.
