A lifetime on the hips
Any time or any place that an intellectual or elite calls a salt-of-the-earth American a Rube, it will be discovered and shared by Oppo. There's no safe space for contempt, not even on podcasts. Fair warning. It's a "moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" situation. And those add up and always blow back during the elections. And the Right does monitor everything the Left does. They have more stomach for that than the Left has for monitoring the Right, including churches, AM talk and forums.
