America could win the Afghan war with crimes against humanity
We only "lost" because we didn't have the nerve to win. "Winning" would require all the war crimes and crimes against humanity. We could have nuked, razed, decimated, and counter-terrorized our way into winning the war in Afghanistan. We could have pulled an Israel, a Russia. Those countries always punish terrorist acts against their people with punishing blows way out of proportion to the damage done. Shock and awe, every time. To the point of putting the fear of God even into fundamentalist Muslim jihadis. Even them. Plus, of course, no will, no buy-in, and no way to define success. What do you think? Plus, we invaded them. The only real way to win that type of war is to move in. Did we want to move in? It all came down to saving Muslim ladies and girls. No war has been won with that slogan.
