Germans made Hitler; Americans make Trump

They're symptoms not causes. It's not just to not blame the Germans and the Americans. Don't let them off the hook. Hitler might have been a true believer but Trump's probably not. A people feel a certain way, there's a resulting mass hysteria, and then there's a "hole in the market for a strong leader guru" and that spot finds someone: Hitler, Reagan, Trump, Áder, Bolsonaro, etc.

For example: Pence. The man's an actual Nazi but the moment he "betrayed" the base, he was quickly relegated to the noose and, weirdly, embraced by the anti trumpers, who are like, "they wanted to hang him (pearl clutch)!" I mean, a minute earlier, and since he's been a Indiana politician, the left has always wanted to hang Pence.

One needs to remember 2015-2021 as a Telenovela.
