The Smith–Mundt Act is Dead

For decades, an anti-propaganda law prevented the U.S. government from propagandizing its own people, domestically. America celebrated the 4th of July weekend of 2013 by gutting the Smith-Mundt Act into the hollowed-out Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, passed as part of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act. While it is surely framed as just dealing with the Voice of America (VOA) and restrictions they have when it comes to broadcasting domestically, there are much greater ramifications. What happens when America attains perfect global hegemony? It's time to work on Herself. It's the era in America when the tools of hearts and minds warfare are turned on ourselves. I guess they'll call it something similar to 'exporting democracy,' probably something like 'restoring American norms and values.' Mark my words.
