Don’t ever let the people think for themselves

Didn’t the 2018 algorithm Facebook update empower users’ shares over media shares, in response to users’ request to see their friends’ timelines? So, basically, empowering users is, basically, radicalization because you can’t rely on folks’ unfettered, unfiltered, perceptions, beliefs, hopes, dreams, and subjective truths and facts. Am I close? Is that what happened?
